Brief: The two royal decrees consist the Emergency Decree on Digital Assets Business B.E. 2561 (2018) and the Emergency Decree Amending the Revenue Code (issue 19) B.E. 2561 (2018).

Introduction

Regulators in Thailand have enacted two laws that regulate cryptocurrencies and initial coin offerings (ICO), being the Emergency Decree on Digital Assets Business B.E. 2561 (2018) and the Emergency Decree Amending the Revenue Code (issue 19) B.E. 2561 (2018). The two royal decrees, issued by the Cabinet of Thailand, came into effect on 14 May 2018.
