Founders’ Story

Siam Premier was founded in July 1990 with aspirations from Dr. Surakiart Sathirathai who invited me to join him in building a full-service law firm to serve domestic and foreign clients under the direction and management of experienced Thai lawyers. Not only did we aim to be the best national law firm in Thailand, our goal was to make Siam Premier become a place where Thai lawyers could learn, grow and succeed in the pursuit of their careers.

Our first day
We had only six lawyers and staff members altogether. We knew that to achieve our goal of becoming the best national law firm and serving our international clients effectively, we needed to build relations with leading international law firms abroad so that our lawyers could have the opportunity to hone their skills and closely learn from and work with lawyers in other jurisdictions.

Our firm made a big leap in progress in around 1997 during the Asian financial crisis. We had grown from a firm with 20 lawyers to 50 lawyers and continued working closely with several overseas law firms. All of this served as a clear testament that no obstacles could stand in the way of our firm’s determination and development.

In response to the investment opportunities and high demand from our clients, we established Lao Premier in Vientiane, the Lao PDR in 2011. Lao Premier has gained reputation and confidence such that it is now one of the leading law firms in the Lao PDR, and indeed a source of our pride.

Our today
Our firm has been a place filled with warmth and a “family” atmosphere, which has always served as important factors in its stable and enduring nature. Currently, the firm has 19 partners, more than 80 lawyers, and more than 60 staff members, whose cooperation and unity are the key in allowing Siam Premier to be internationally recognized since 2009. Continuously, we have been ranked as Leading Law Firm from both Chambers - Asia Pacific and The Legal 500, a further testament to the firm’s dedication and commitment to providing excellent legal services to our clients.

It is my utmost honor to have the opportunity to celebrate the 30-year anniversary of our firm. I would like to thank all of our partners, lawyers, staff members and clients for their assistance and support which serves as a strong motivation for us to continue pursuing our work with diligence, develop our team, and deliver exceptional outcomes for our clients, wherever their businesses take them.
