Maythawee joined Siam Premier as a partner in 2022, bringing more than 25 years’ experience in all aspects of foreign investment in Thailand, including M&A, corporate structures and registration.

Maythawee is also regularly instructed by creditors, liquidators, planners, plan administrators, special managers and debtors on all aspects of both contentious and non-contentious corporate lending, bankruptcy, large business reorganizations and complex restructuring and insolvency matters. In his distressed debt practice, Maythawee provides strategic advice in relation to settlement, recovery and enforcement strategies, business and asset reorganization.

Maythawee has acted extensively for investors in negotiating and documenting multi-national cross-border investors for complex M&A transactions in Thailand, and for bank steering committees in negotiating and documenting multi-bank cross-border corporate workouts and court-supervised reorganizations. He has also acted for both local and international clients based in Thailand and offshore for distressed assets sales and purchases.

For his work, Maythawee has been ranked in Band 2 for Restructuring & Insolvency in Thailand in Chambers Asia-Pacific (2022). He is also recognized by IFLR 1000 as a “Highly Regarded” practitioner in Restructuring & Insolvency, as well as being listed as one of Thailand’s Top 100 Lawyers of 2022 by Asia Business Law Journal.
