Biography

Tassanu is a skilled practitioner in commercial agreements, mergers and acquisitions, disputes, insurance (including medical malpractice) and tax (including domestic and international tax). He also possesses extensive industry subject-matter knowledge, having regularly advised clients on complex insurance matters, including most prominently in the healthcare sector regarding malpractice claims, and advising on subrogation claims in the aviation sector.

Advising leading insurance companies on coverage, claim handling, negotiations and settlements on behalf of insured, who are medical practitioners and leading hospitals in Thailand in medical malpractice claims, subrogation claims in respect of aviation industry.
Acting for a leading German reinsurer in debt repayment claims following revocation and rehabilitation of local insurance companies in Thailand.
Advising one of the largest salt manufacturing companies in Thailand in a potential dispute under a joint venture agreement and product offtake agreement with a leading Japanese salt trading company.
Advising a leading securities company in Thailand in a proposed 99.1% share acquisition of a Japanese owned securities company including legal due diligence, share purchase agreement and post-acquisition restructuring.
Representing leading hotel management companies in potential disputes under hotel management agreement, joint venture agreements, licensing and marketing agreements with owners in Thailand. The matters also related to litigation and arbitration matters.
